Overview

The Role:

The Regional Sales & Business Development Specialist is responsible for leading sales growth in a designated state or region. This position will work closely with the regional sales managers to implement strategies to sustain and increase sales, distributor and preferred member recruitment and retention by using business and demographic analytics.

This role will also provide business acumen to all other departments in the company presenting relevant insights pertaining Distributor business and drivers to enhance overall member experience. Additionally, this position will lead strategic projects and events, identify new market opportunities, and strategize and deploy regional and organizational plans at state and city level by conducting field trainings, visits and meetings among key distributor leaders in their assigned region.

SALES REGIONS:

  • Southeast Regions: Mississippi, Tennessee & South Carolina.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

  • Travel frequently up to 50% of the year to support regional sales growth efforts.

  • Deploy business development, sales and other related departmental projects and strategies that require on-field application such as global technology services, distributor relations, member business practices and compliance, operations, sponsorships, Herbalife Nutrition Foundation, product and digital marketing departments and other stakeholders.

  • Strategize business growth by localizing geographic areas of opportunity based on volume penetration, demographics and economic factors and follow up with local distributor leaders.

  • Address directly with escalated concerns from local regional sales leadership.

  • Collect supporting member evidence for use by regional sales managers to create case studies for use by executive and upper management.

  • Maintain constant communication and build strategic partnerships with distributors with the objective of understanding member trends, DMOs, independent promotions and trainings.

  • Identify key distributor leadership within assigned region to execute state, city and organizational sales strategies.

  • Conduct distributor meetings and trainings on quarterly regional sales priorities and measure results.

  • Design regional sales promotions, recognition, organizational and focus group calls.

  • Attend HOMs, weekly trainings, STS, and corporate training events, and visit member offices and nutrition clubs to better understand volume trends and distributor business behavior.

  • Assist in regional sales corporate events by identifying event speakers to address areas of opportunity, developing an event agenda aligned with corporate regional sales goals, and managing event content to promote sales growth.

  • Work with internal teams and departments to enhance customer and distributor experience by providing valuable qualitative information regarding members.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 2 years in related field (sales, sales support, sales training, sales analysis, business development, account management, strategy development) to include:

  • 2 years in field sales

  • 2 years in territory management (budget and tools) and distributor(s) performance management.

  • Experience building and maintaining professional relationships and strong partnerships across all management levels to include distributor management and territory management.

  • Demonstrated experience in sales analysis and strategy development.

  • Bilingual is a preference.

  • Communicate effectively with executives, upper management, cross functional departments and team members.

  • Must have strong analytical skills and be results driven

  • Strong work ethic

  • Demonstrated team leadership abilities, problem solver and stress tolerant

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, everchanging environment

  • Strong self-discipline and with a team player disposition

  • Must be able to work with different personalities

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management or related field

  • May consider candidate with additional 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
