We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Solutions Architect - UniData to join Ferguson's Enterprise Solutions team. In this role, you will assist in architecting our current ERP solution, which is based on Rocket UniData. You will also assist with architecting future solutions while overseeing the delivery process for our development teams.

Your expertise in Linux, Rocket UniData, software development, database technologies, and delivery management will be essential for ensuring the timely delivery of work and the successful execution of projects.

This role is approved to Hybrid or Remote within the United States per company policy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Architect existing and future solutions leveraging Linux, Windows and Cloud (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS) platform technologies.

  • Build and evaluate POC, leading IT transformation projects.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and communicate architectural decisions.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and operations to ensure the successful deployment of architectural solutions.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between development teams and stakeholders, ensuring communication and alignment throughout project lifecycles.

  • Work closely with development teams to understand project requirements and proposed architecture, provide technical guidance, and assist in overcoming roadblocks.

  • Identify and escalate issues as needed, and proactively address challenges to keep projects on track.

  • Create documentation for operation teams and future architects.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience designing and deploying large enterprise solutions.

  • Very good knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux with proficient technical skills building and evaluating POC.

  • Extensive experience with Rocket Unidata preferred.

  • Proficiency in Unibasic programming language a plus.

  • Good understanding of RESTful APIs and experience designing integrations between systems.

  • Excellent understanding of firewalls, networks, applications protocols, and ports.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies.

  • Strong knowledge of database technologies, including multidimensional, NoSQL, and SQL databases.

  • Working experience with programming languages such as Perl, Python, and Java.

  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work with various cross-functional teams.

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$6,805.95 - $11,921.25

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
