AI investments are shifting from training to inference which will require edge computing to address the need for reduced latency and enhanced privacy. Businesses in every sector are evaluating how to harness the opportunity to reach, acquire, and maximize the lifetime value of their target customers. You will work closely with product and enablement teams to drive awareness and demand for Akamai's edge computing solutions.

Partner with the Best

You will work with Akamai's cloud technology group to create compelling value- centric messages and go-to-market campaigns for edge computing services. If you enjoy engaging with innovative companies, entrepreneurial technologists, and expert global sales and marketing teams, this will be an exciting role for you! This person will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive value at each stage of the product lifecycle to generate adoption and growth of edge computing workloads to power next generation of applications.

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager focusing on Edge Computing, you will be responsible for:

• Creating a foundation for teams and stakeholders to understand each products technical capabilities, highlighting product-market fit, primary use cases, value drivers and product positioning

• Work closely with product teams to define the product vision for different personas and growth strategies for targeted industries and channels

• Deliver content that communicates the product roadmap, accelerating education and time to value relevant to drive product led growth

• Understand the edge computing ecosystem and trends as they relate to modern application architectures, presenting opportunities to tell innovative stories around our solutions

• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product teams to create the strategic and tactical deployment of our product release, launch execution and communications strategy

• Design effective educational materials, programs, plays and campaigns that drive awareness and adoption metrics to align with Product Marketing leadership

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8 years of relevant product marketing experience and a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or Marketing

• Have prior experience with edge infrastructure, edge computing, distributed data, or SaaS platforms

• Contribute to product development cycle and release activities in previous roles

• Define business value and technical details to satisfy both product-led and sales-led motions for consistent user experience

• Possess strong writing and communication skills, with ability to adapt to internal vs. external audiences effectively

• Demonstrate success in positioning cloud-native benefits and solutions, or similar products and solutions

• Have the ability to drive strategy and process simultaneously, developing tools or resources to improve efficiency

• Collaborate, create and be willing to learn from the broader team

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $124,900 - $259,500/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
