Job Description
Senior Manager Data Warehouse Engineering (Vivint, Inc., Provo, UT)
Partner with business leaders to understand data needs and provide highly accurate, reliable, and performant data solutions to drive critical business operations. Establish subject matter expertise. Lead a team of data warehouse engineers to design, build, and maintain enterprise data models and data transformation pipelines. Collaborate and influence cross functionally with larger data and technology teams to define and execute data strategy and deliverables. Contribute to the design and implementation of innovative technical solutions to solve high-value business problems. Work closely with project/program management on project deliverables, timelines, and priorities. Deliver team projects on time and in a highly accurate, reliable, and performant way. Mentor and train associate managers, team leads, and other potential leaders within the team. Position allows telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S. Salary: $109,699 – $161,200 per year.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, or related field, plus 5 years professional experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect or any occupation/position/job title involving data engineering or data warehousing development.
Must have the following special skills: 5 years of professional experience performing data analytics, data visualization, and ETL engineering; 3 years of professional experience leading or managing a team of data engineers, analytics engineers, data warehouse engineers, or BI developers; 3 years of professional experience utilizing SQL and database technology (including any dialect of SQL, SSMS/SSIS or dbt, and a cloud-compute data warehouse); 3 years of professional experience ingesting and transforming data into scalable, efficient data architecture; 3 years of professional experience utilizing data warehousing architecture and design patterns; and 3 years of professional experience collaborating with engineers, business stakeholders, and cross functional technology leaders.
