    About The Job

    Dudek is seeking a Registered Professional Geologist (PG) to work a variety of projects to benefit our Federal Projects in CA and WA regions.

    The candidate for this position will be remote. The Professional Geologist will be expected to provide leadership support to our team and ensure that technical excellence, cost, schedule, and contractual requirements are achieved for assessment and remediation projects. The potential candidate should be able to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment and exercise project authority and mentorship over project team members.

    Duties and Responsibilities (may include some or all of the below): 

  • Program Management

  • Client and agency interaction,

  • Project strategy

  • Work plan development

  • Interpretation of field data for evaluation of site conditions, permitting, development and implementation of remedial actions, and coordination of field investigations

  • Develop cost proposals, work plans, and execution strategies.

  • Providing health and safety support.

  • Task managing and performing field efforts for complex soil, soil-vapor, and groundwater assessment and remediation projects.

  • Subcontractor and third-party oversight and management.

  • Project planning, scheduling, and resource management.

  • Assisting Project Managers with preparation of technical reports and providing quality assurance/quality control of project documents with a focus on compliance with client and regulatory agency processes, procedures, and policies and regulations.

  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting the project team with the goal of maximizing performance

    Minimum Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, in particular, the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA); CERCLA, SI/RI/FS projects, RCRA Facility Investigations

  • Property transfer and redevelopment

  • Phase I and II site assessments

  • Remediation of soil and groundwater, and voluntary cleanup programs.

  • Extensive Knowledge in the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); the Toxic Substances Control Act; and national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants.

    • Successfully managed projects involving soil, groundwater, surface water, stormwater, and sediment.
  • California Professional License (Professional Geologist- PG) is required.

  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience demonstrating successful technical execution on multi-disciplinary environmental assessment and remediation projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Geology, Engineering, or another related field. Advanced degree(s) preferred.

  • Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulatory agency laws, regulations, and permitting requirements.

  • Advanced computer skills with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and Power Point. Experience with MS Project a plus.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment

    • As a federal contractor, successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre - employment drug test and background check.

    Physical Requirements

    Working Conditions:

  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.

  • This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.

    Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met in order to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

  • This job requires working on a computer, sitting or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote office setting.

  • This job requires attending meetings, both in person and virtually as well as speaking on the phone with peers, clients, etc. Speaking, hearing and listening are required.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Candidate must pass a medical surveillance that includes drug screening and respiratory function testing in order to operate in respirator-controlled environments.

  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs.

  • Up to 70% of time may be dedicated to field activities in varying environmental conditions including inclement weather.

  • Some night and weekend work may be required for this position.

  • May periodically require travel.

  • Personal vehicle use for travel to / from project site is expected

    Proposed Salary Range: $98,000-$120,000 annually *

    *Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
