Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Senior Director, Field Medical Affairs (Cardiovascular/Metabolism) Midwest in United States

The Sr Director, Field Medical Affairs, will play a pivotal role as a field-based professional leader with scientific and Cardiovascular /Metabolic therapeutic area expertise that provisions the business objectives across the product life cycle within a designated geographic area of coverage. This role will be 50% management of the field team and 50% hands-on territory coverage in the Midwest.

Primary responsibilities include development & execution of a strategic field medical plan, keeping abreast of medical and scientific developments in the therapeutic field to help identify and critically assess research opportunities and to play a supportive role in the execution of evidence generation plans to enhance the value of our products in a real-world setting, and direct the team with regards to other medical affairs research activities.

A typical day in the life of a Sr Director, Field Medical Affairs may include the following:

  • Manages and directs a field medical team covering territories across the US supporting marketed assets in CV/metabolic and rare diseases area and potentially assets in development.

  • Develops a strategic field medical plan, aligned with the overall Medical Impact Plan, and ensuring execution as outlined in value-based outcome metrics.

  • Uses key clinical and research issues and insights from industry leaders to support company research, development, and strategies for investigational and commercialized products aimed at improving human health.

  • Critically and routinely evaluates and discerns from the information gained from published studies, and stakeholder interactions to develop key insights that deepen our understanding of the market’s needs and opinions of external stakeholders and therefore contribute to enhancement of Regeneron’s scientific messages, plans, strategy, systems, and product development.

  • Engages in scientific exchange with medical and scientific experts, including Healthcare Professionals and population health decision makers (“payers”) consistent with Medical Affairs objectives.

  • Demonstrates deep scientific expertise about assigned molecules/products and the associated therapeutic area to exchange relevant information and insights with experts within a region.

  • Demonstrates proficiency in topics beyond scientific exchange such as value / cost of care, including discussions regarding prevention of hospitalizations or intervention, risk of progression or events, and AE management.

This role might be for you if you have the following:

  • An advanced Scientific Degree required - MD, PharmD, PhD

  • Experience managing direct reports.

  • Prior experience as a field medical representative. Cardiovascular/Metabolic experience preferred

  • Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams and managing significant volume of projects.

  • Minimum of 10 years related work experience (clinical, managed care, or industry experience)

Salary Range (annually)

$233,700.00 - $389,500.00
