Northshore University Hospital Senior Accountant in United States

Senior Accountant - ( 79670 ) Position Highlights: + Position: Senior Accountant Research + Location: Evanston, IL + Full Time/Part Time: Full-time + Hours: M-F 8:00am-5:00pm What you will need: + Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting + Experience: 2-5 years Corporate Accounting Experience. Some healthcare and grants, fund accounting also desirable. Lawson general ledger and grant management experience also desirable. Excel experience required. + Must have done full-cycle accounting from journal entry input, to month and year-end close. Must have experience with account analysis, reconciling balance sheet accounts and resolving variances. Knowledge of grant accounting and Uniform Guidance audit work paper preparation. Experience with Lawson software both general ledger and grant management or equivalent financial system. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. What you will do: + Maintain accurate financial records for NorthShore Research Institute. Prepare monthly and year-end account analysis for Audit and Uniform Guidance audit. Assist in the month-end close, completes account reconciliations, and prepares monthly and quarterly reports, including financial statements. The position also provides variance analysis and commentary to senior management. Will prepare appropriate documentation for internal and external audits and submit all documents required for Uniform Guidance and State audit.
