General job duties and types of procedures required: Brand new satellite ER location scheduled to open Nov. 1, 2023. Emergency Nursing. Equipment utilized in the unit/department: EPIC charting, Pyxis medication administration Required skills and minimum years of experience: 2 years of Emergency department Nursing experience required, Level 2 experience required, trauma background required. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required: BLS required, ACLS required, PALS required, TNCC preferred, ENPC preferred, NRP preferred Shift or schedule requirements: All shifts are possible Floating to other units/departments: NO Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/department: 14 Nurse to patient ratio of this unit: 1:4 to 1:6 depending on ER patients vs. Urgent care patients Dress Code: Scrubs: Caribbean Blue Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program: The Parkview Southwest Emergency Department/Urgent Care is a 14 bed Free standing ER/Urgent care. It has 13 exam rooms and 1 resuscitation room. The Emergency Department uses a Team Nursing approach in the care of patients to provide seamless flow between care providers. Orientation will be Mon-Fri week 1 and Mon-Tues week * - * hour days. MANDATORY ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL 7 DAYS OF ORIENTATION.
