Cogent Infotech Reproduction Equipment Operator in United States
Title: Reproduction Equipment Operator Location: San Bernardino CA Duration-3+ months Job Description : Under general direction, operates and services printing and digital reproduction equipment in the production of printing jobs; performs related duties as required. Responsibilities :
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Operates digital color press and high speed programmable computerized photocopier to produce productions runs of a variety of printed material; regulates ink flow and adjusts speed and feed of equipment according to the materials to be reproduced; makes sure that chemical levels are maintained to to ensure quality copies.
Makes adjustments necessary to print various forms with a variety of colored inks; performs minor repairs and servicing of reproduction equipment. Monitors equipment operation and sets up service calls as necessary to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment.
Examines job order to determine equipment time, quantity to be printed and stock specification and finishing requirements.
Sets up and operates equipment used in finishing including envelope address printers, cutters, staplers, paper drills, folders, wrappers, collators, binding equipment and other print shop equipment.
Wrap, pack and manually process outgoing finished jobs.
Prepares reports and documents as needed.
Provides vacation and temporary relief as required.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: Twelve (12) months of full-time equivalent experience in a printing or bindery environment performing digital or wide-format printing and bindery functions which includes working with Windows applications (Microsoft Office, web browsers, etc.).
