Receptionist - Engemann Student Health - Per Diem 8 Hour Rotating Shifts (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union)Apply Keck Medicine of USC Hospital Los Angeles, California

Greets and assists patients and visitors. Answers telephones and provides appropriate information. Performs clerical tasks, as assigned. Works in environment of highly confidential patient information. Has an understanding of office management and helps to coordinate day to day functions and manages department schedule such as meetings and events. Manages the department supplies and other patient related services. Provides appropriate escalation to department leaders. This is an essential role to our department and is the first point of contact to our patients and families as well as our colleagues.

Minimum Education: • High School or equivalent, combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education. Minimum Experience/Knowledge: • 1-year experience as a receptionist, including but not limited to answer telephone(s), communicate with others to gather information, input data, maintain logs, read handwritten text, research information, computer network, computer peripheral equipment, fax, personal computer, photocopier, and phones. • Excellent customer service skills and must embrace patient and family centered care and teamwork Required License/Certification: • Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date. The hourly rate range for this position is $17.50 - $27.01.
