IT Concepts Project Management Office Lead (VA ESOM) in United States

IT Concepts, Inc. (ITC) is seeking an experienced PMO Lead to support our VA-ESOM-End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract. The candidate must have prior experience leading a project management office or previously served as a project or program manager. The PMO Lead must manage through others to strategically direct a team that supports both tactical assignments and strategic projects. The candidate will be required to work cross-functionally to deliver organizational efficiencies and thrives in ambiguous situations. They must be experienced with the nuances of government contracting; responsible for ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory constraints.
Responsibilities:
Effectively leads through direct reports, providing mentorship, and actionable, constructive feedback, when required
Proactive and concise communicator; with the ability to effectively communicate with varying stakeholders, inclusive internal and external customers
Leads the PMO team; providing overarching suitability, onboarding, recruiting, and general program management support for Enterprise Command Operations (ECO), End User Operations (EUO), and Business Operations domains
Identifies process gaps within PMO function, and facilitates cross-collaboration to seek resolutions that increase efficiencies by 25%
Responsible for operationalizing the PMO function, strategically leading the team to define, document and socialize processes that result in program and organizational efficiencies
Identifies and leads opportunities to automate work activities and processes; collaborates with colleagues to evaluate, prioritize, and implement technological solutions (ie- SharePoint) that deliver the greatest impact to end users
Serves as a change management agent, developing and presenting documentation to effectively communicate changes to encourage stakeholder adoption and consensus
Prioritizes work assignments for the team; with the ability to communicate when adjustments are required to meet customer demands
Represents the PMO during internal, as well as customer meetings; providing status updates associated with onboarding, suitability, staffing, and program progress
Devises and manages against key performance indicators, and utilizes data to effectively identify risks and challenges; subsequently, devises recommendations for consideration, and successfully executes, upon approval
Develops project plans and schedules to ensure team alignment and delivery progress; defining milestones to illustrate objectives and requirements
Supports the development and submission of deliverables; collaborating with Portfolio Management to leverage technology to automate the review and delivery process
Manages other program management activities; as assigned
Location: This position will be performed remotely and will support Eastern Time working hours.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, Human Resource or related scientific / technical discipline. (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
10 years of relevant experience with large organizations and complex projects / programs.
5 years of cross-functional facilitation experience, with the ability to influence a variety of stakeholders to drive consensus and progress
5 years of general program management experience; exposure to cost, schedule, and budget constraints, as well as risk management
Prior exposure and experience with onboarding and suitability processes; knowledge of staffing for service contracts and general recruiting practices
Experienced with change management, leveraging a variety of communication modalities to garner buy in and adoption
MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Quick Learner with Integrity/Honesty, good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices
Industry knowledge and/or U.S. Government security controls and best practices.
Strong problem-solving, coaching, and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
Experience supporting a federal client.
Section 508 conformance experience or knowledge.
PMP Certification, ITI 4 Foundation or equivalent.
Clearance:
Able to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
US Citizen or Green Card holder.
