Project Coordinator
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator for our Power Delivery Project Services Group I department in Amarillo or Lubbock, TX. The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team working closely with the Project Manager and/or client manager in the coordination of engineering projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting, organizing, and reporting project tasks, under the direction of a Project Manager. The candidate should be located in Amarillo or Lubbock, TX or in close proximity as the position may be based out of the client office.
Roles & Responsibilities
A self-starter who works independently and as part of a team
Has an understanding of projects and how they work
Tracking and reporting project deliverables, material and milestones on multi-discipline complex projects
Working closely with all levels of management and disciplines/departments.
Providing high-level coordination, administrative and analytical support to the project team
Attending project meetings (internal and with the client) at the Department Manager’s discretion
Assisting with scheduling deadlines and maintaining project deliverables schedules for multiple projects
Tracking project changes (utilizing both in-house and client applications)
Entering/building Scope of Work in SAP
Creating and dispatching preventative, corrective, and smaller capital work orders
Creating purchase requisitions for services and material
Maintaining preventative maintenance programs
Maintaining dates for all work orders in accordance with plan attainment
Handle day-to-day operations for field crews
Preventative battery compliance
Coverage for other work coordinators
Complete job closeouts
Conduct invoice reviews/approval
Interface / some knowledge with P6 to pull dates for SOW
Other duties/responsibilities as directed by the client
Lubbock, Texas preferred location
Required Education/Experience
Two to Four (4) years of applicable experience
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Advanced Excel skills are required
Strong communication and writing skills
Advanced analytical skills
Desired Education/Experience
Electrical utility experience is desirable
SAP experience
Experience with SmartSheet
Experience with MS Project, MS Visio, and Data Management Systems
Certification from AACE or PMI
