Cendyn Programmatic Team Lead - Remote in United States

Job Purpose The Programmatic Team Lead manages the overall execution and strategy of programmatic media campaigns as well as team development and training. This position is key in understanding client strategy and execution of campaign tasks and monitoring the time management and quality assurance of all project deliverables. The Team Lead is responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing programmatic media strategy and execution across Cendyn's client portfolio. The position involves ensuring that programmatic media efforts are aligned with other digital media channels’ tactics, and reporting performance results as part of an overall story. The Programmatic Team Lead is expected to communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders including reporting, insights, and thought leadership. This role stands as the cornerstone of programmatic media excellence, steering campaigns toward impactful outcomes and fostering a culture of innovation rooted in data-driven insights. The Programmatic Team Lead will also facilitate execution through day-to-day management and ongoing performance optimizations and will be expected to solve issues encountered by direct reports and team members to achieve or exceed campaign KPIs. They will be responsible for fielding and resolving programmatic challenges independently or collaboratively with the appropriate agency teams. Job Responsibilities • Serve as the channel expert and go-to person for all things related to programmatic, provide guidance and support to other teams within the agency, and act as a subject matter expert for clients and external partners • Manage a global team of senior and specialist programmatic media buyers;, including hiring, onboarding, training, and providing mentorship to achieve excellence in performance and work quality • Ensure operational success within the programmatic team and across departments, setting best practices and improving and standardizing operations • Act as the senior point of contact and escalation point for day-to-day team needs and inter-department relationships • Lead in the development of sophisticated programmatic tactics that accurately address client objectives and will enable us to achieve their goals and KPIs • Analyze campaign performance and identify strategic optimization opportunities to meet and exceed client expectations and KPIs • Drive scalable growth by delivering value through programmatic strategies and tactics and finding new and alternative ways to leverage programmatic media to accelerate business expansion • Employ tagging and tracking techniques to develop sophisticated audience segments • Track pacing for all active campaigns to ensure KPIs are met while fully utilizing budgets • Provide thought leadership to enable Cendyn to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to new programmatic technologies, tools, and platforms Requirements • BA or BS from accredited college or university • 5+ years of experience working in paid media advertising comprising of programmatic display and video buying within an agency/in-house environment • 2+ years managing multiple team members and successfully motivating and leading a team • Expert knowledge of DSPs, DMPs, RTB, tagging, floodlights, and bidding strategies • Extensive hands-on buying proficiency launching and managing a high volume of programmatic campaigns with large budgets and optimizing for ROAS • Self-service experience with leading programmatic DSPs such as Google Display and Video 360 (DV360), The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, Xandr, Yahoo DSP, MediaMath - DV360 preferred • Experience using Google Campaign Manager preferred • Experience managing YouTube, programmatic audio, DOOH, and/or CTV campaigns a plus • Proven ability to strategize and build programmatic media plans from the ground up • Experience in managing data strategy and leveraging 1st party and 3rd party data segments • Strong analytical and quantitative skills - ability to work with large data sets to derive actionable campaign insights • A self-motivated individual who consistently monitors their respective landscape to keep up with industry developments, new tactics and thought leadership • Excellent communication and presenting skills • Familiarity with Google Analytics • Solid knowledge of MS Excel and general knowledge of other Microsoft applications, Google Workspace products, and other common applications • Experience working remotely and willingness to balance working hours across multiple time zones
