What will you be doing?

As the Program Coordinator I, you'll be responsible for a range of standard and complex administrative duties supporting the Economic Statecraft Program’s operations and research agenda. You'll report to the program’s director as you're responsible for coordinating program logistics and operations related to events, outreach, and day-to-day support tracking budgets and coordinating activities.

This position is funded from a grant/contract funding which is renewed under the provisions of the grantor of the contract. This position is contingent on the award of grant/contract funding.

Responsibilities:

Communications and Events - Coordinates logistics for program events and meetings, including managing schedules, booking travel, coordinating with speakers and attendees, arranging space and equipment/AV, and promoting events and research to internal and external audiences. Liaises with panelists and/or co-sponsoring organizations and serves as main point of contact on events and meetings. Develops, edits, and updates program documents for internal and external audiences, particularly documents to promote events and program research. Runs and manages social media pages, including Facebook and Twitter.

Program Support - Assists the Director in overseeing student workers and establishing workflows to monitoring and support student efforts. Assists the Director to effectively structure tasks, operations, and workflows to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and smoothly. Maintains programmatic records for all activities in Google Drive. Serves as a liaison and primary point of contact for the Program with internal and external audiences. Assists the Director in general development efforts including identifying grant opportunities, preparing applications and RFP response, and coordinating with TAMU support offices such as Sponsored Research Services, Research Development Services, Business Services, and the Bush School Development teams.

Budget/Contract Support and Editing & Research Support - Assist the Director with budget and grant management, including processing reimbursements and payments through AggieBuy/Concur, monitoring program budgets, and coordinating payment for contracted services. Assists the Director and student researchers to edit and format papers for publication. On occasion, conducts independent research on topics related to the program.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2 years of program administration and/or coordination experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to use technology to improve work practices and communication flows

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (including the ability to draft/edit correspondence)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and full proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Slack, and Zoom

  • Working knowledge of design and website software (Publisher, Photoshop, etc.)

  • Experience & proficiency using scheduling software such as Outlook, When2Meet, DoodlePoll, and/or Calendly

  • Experience supporting student professional development
