How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice:

At Paula’s Choice Skincare, it all starts with our phenomenal Product Development team. As a Product Development Specialist, you will be challenged by working on a wide variety of projects and coordinating the work of cross functional teams within a fast-paced, growing organization. You will have a significant impact on the future growth of the organization.

This role requires a self-motivated problem solver who has demonstrated success in simultaneously coordinating complex projects. We are looking for an exceptional communicator who is passionate about skincare and product and has impeccable attention to detail to support the team in continuing to deliver the highest quality products to the market. As a member of the Research & Development team, this role will join a welcoming group of focused individuals with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

As a Product Development Specialist, a typical day might include a mix of the following:

  • Project facilitation to support new product development (Ideation):

  • Support projects by organizing timelines, milestones, and deliverables, tracking progress and ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Own meeting calendar of ongoing working sessions & superadaptives, tracking and assisting with execution of PD action items.

  • Maintain up to date library of samples and documentation from 3 rd party manufacturers.

  • Assist with maintaining up to date competitive product library.

  • Coordinate formulation work with internal lab team, ensuring milestones are met.

  • Assist with preparation of decks for internal meetings and summits.

  • Distribute, collect and summarize feedback on pre-development samples as needed.

  • Pull and summarize information from consumer insights platforms.

  • Coordinate communication between cross-functional teams.

  • Help facilitate clinical and consumer testing:

  • Order supplementary products for testing.

  • Label and ship products to testing facilities.

  • Assist with in-office photo shoots.

  • Create Before & After photo compilations.

  • General administrative support for R&D:

  • Assist with updating project plan templates, department resource documents, work instructions, etc. as needed to help drive process improvements.

  • Process incoming packages (scanning and organizing documents, getting contents to recipient, etc.)

  • Ship all outgoing packages for the department and manage tracking information.

  • Assist with planning tradeshow attendance for department leadership (travel, meetings, itinerary development, etc.)

  • Assist with schedule management, meeting planning, and general administrative tasks.

  • Help facilitate the completion of monthly expense reports for department leadership.

  • Set up new vendors and assist with PO’s and invoices in Concur (as needed).

  • Order department supplies as needed (product samples, panel test supplies, etc.)

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager.

The Details:

  • Location: Hybrid - Seattle HQ - In Office 4 Days a Week, Remote 1 Day Weekly

  • Hours: Typical PST Business Hours, some flexibility

  • Physical requirements: Ability to handle both sitting and screen time for long periods of time

  • Travel requirements: None

  • 2+ years’ experience in a coordinator type role (or equivalent experience)

  • Skilled user of the Microsoft Office suite of products

What can help you really stand out:

  • Working Knowledge of MS Sharepoint / Teams and Smartsheet is a plus

  • Project management experience

  • A Bachelor's degree

  • Experience working in product development or R&D settings

Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:

$60,000 - $70,000 USD/annually

Paula’s Choice Skincare determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.
