UnitedHealth Group Platform Engineer - National Remote in United States

We are looking for multiple skilled Platform Engineers with expertise in one of the following platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Power Platform, Pega or Appian) to design, build, and implement custom business applications and shall provide support to improve the DTC infrastructure and tools. The Platform Engineer will leverage Platform to create innovative solutions that streamline operations and foster digital transformation. A successful candidate will have a strong development background, proficiency in Platform, and a creative approach to problem-solving.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop custom applications using Platform, meeting specific business needs and requirements

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, prototype solutions, and provide demos

  • Integrate Platform with various data sources, services, and other Microsoft 365 tools such as SharePoint, Teams, and Dynamics 365

  • Utilize Power Automate to create automated workflows that enhance app functionality and user experience

  • Implement best practices for application design, usability, and scalability within the Platform

  • Conduct thorough testing of Platform solutions to ensure quality and reliability

  • Document development processes, code, and user guides for custom Platform solutions

  • Collaborate with the QA team to address any issues and refine applications based on feedback

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)

  • Certifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience with Platform development, including canvas and model-driven apps

  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining a platform for software development

  • Able to administer configurations for various environments, maintaining applications, communicating with platform users and stakeholders, and preparing reports for systems and assets

  • Proficiency in common web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Azure services

  • Strong understanding of the Platform's capabilities and limitations

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for a non-technical audience

  • Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

  • Must have reliable internet services that allows for effective telecommuting

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

  • All work must be conducted in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-900, PL-100, or PL-200).

  • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting within Power Apps.

  • Knowledge of advanced data modeling, API integration, and custom connectors.

  • Basic understanding of networking and internet protocols

  • Knowledge of Encryption, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), understanding of OWASP

California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington D.C Residents Only : The salary range for California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Washington, or Washington D.C residents is $70,200 to $137,800 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
