Purpose and Scope:
As a Platform Engineer of a team of individuals in a specific area of digital expertise, you will be a crucial player in driving our digital initiatives forward in our agile organization. Our agile operating model consists of two components – Digital Capability and Digital Execution. Digital Execution is about aligning multiple missions around business goals and facilitating collaboration on a larger scale. Digital Capability, on the other hand, will focus on the growth and development of individuals within a specific area of expertise. This dual structure enables us to scale agile practices efficiently while maintaining a focus on both product development and individual skill enhancement.
An Enterprise Business Platforms Engineer focuses on the development, deployment, and integration of software platforms that support our business processes and operations. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the specific platforms that drive business functions such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management, Sales Force, Veeva), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning such as SAP), and SCM (Supply Chain Management) and Clinical, Patient Safety, Quality Management Solutions. The goal is to ensure these platforms are optimized to support business goals, enhance efficiency, and drive growth.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Platform Development and Configuration: Design, develop, and configure business platforms to meet the specific needs of our organization. This could involve programming, configuring settings, and integrating various software solutions.
System Integration: Ensure seamless integration between different business platforms and systems (e.g., integrating CRM and ERP systems) to enhance data flow and business processes.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Regularly monitor the performance of business platforms, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and user experience.
User Support and Training: Provide technical support to platform users, resolve issues, and conduct training sessions to ensure users can effectively utilize the platforms.
Initiative Execution: Actively participate in and contribute to various initiatives, applying your specialized skills to achieve the objectives and expected Value. Contribute to the ongoing realization of Value from these enterprise platforms through continuous integration and deployment.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members within the subdivision and across other digital and business units.
Continuous Learning: Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in a specific area of expertise.
Innovation: Contribute innovative ideas and approaches to enhance project outcomes and digital capabilities.

This position plays a key role in establishing and executing on the corporate strategy for the SAP environment including hardware, software, database and Basis procedures and architecture
The role includes responsibilities related to project planning, defines, documents and carries out small projects and execution for Basis related tasks
The technical support will require both proactive and reactive measures to ensure that the systems perform within the terms of their respective service level agreements
Carries out project approach with stakeholders, and prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and documents activities against the project schedule, liaising with stakeholders as appropriate
Systems Integration: Designs and builds integration components and interfaces
Leads practical integration work under the technical direction of the system /service designer
Contributes to the overall design of the service and assesses the technical criteria for product or component selection
Business Process Improvement: Analyzes business processes; identifies alternative solutions, documents feasibility, and recommends new approaches
Contributes to evaluating the factors which must be addressed in the change program
Helps establish requirements for the implementation of changes in the business process
Customer Service Support: Liaises as the routine contact point, receiving and handling requests for support and contributes to creation of support documentation
Lead the selection, development and implementation of innovative, technology-based SAP solutions
As a thought leader expected to stay up to date on SAP architecture and advancements and make recommendations regarding improvements to processes and procedures
May be responsible for managing third party partners SAP RISE, both onshore and offshore
Basis tasks include, but not limited to, system design, system setup, system refresh, and transport Migrations
Backup & DR strategy, Archiving and Purging on Private Cloud
Evaluation and implementation of new SAP tools
Manage SAP Solution Manager, Cloud ALM, including system monitoring, and expansion of services
SAP Landscape planning and maintenance, installation and setup of all SAP software and/or upgrades
Performance monitoring and tuning of all SAP applications and HANA Databases
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelors or Masters Degree in computer science, engineering or information systems, or STEM Degree
Performed implementation of DT SAP HANA Appliance in scale out architecture with multiple nodes
System copies and System migration - Heterogeneous and Homogeneous environments
Experience in knowledge transfer, coaching, training and building SAP Technical team, guided the technical team to troubleshoot the technical and performance issues during and after go-live
Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously
7+ years of progressive strong experience in ECC, S/4HANA, HANA DB, CAR, Solution Manager, GRC, Data Services, SAP PO 7.5 Java stack, GTS, BW4HANA, BW on HANA, BPC, GRC, BODS, CPI-DS and Fiori
At least 2 Full life cycle Migration Experience, must have Performed SAP upgrades, SAP system refreshes and SAP Installations on different DB and OS, SA HANA DR/ DT, OS/DB Migrations
Experience in knowledge transfer, coaching, training and building SAP Technical team, guided the technical team to troubleshoot the technical and performance issues during and after go-live
Hardware sizing for SAP Components on Unix and Windows platform
Worked on cluster environment of SAP & HANA, fail over testing, Disaster Recovery set and testing etc.
Performed database Backup, Restore & Recovery using BRTOOLS & various Backup utilities
Hands on end-to-end monitoring of SAP HANA Appliance using different techniques
Proven work experience in area of installation, configuration and administration of S4HANA, SAP ECC EHP8, SAP BOBJ Data Service, Solution Manager, SAP PO 7.5 Java stack, GTS, BW4HANA, BW on HANA, BPC, GRC
Technical upgrades, for ERP and NW (ABAP, JAVA and ABAP+JAVA) systems
Exposure to cloud services of OpenText xECM, SuccessFactors, Concur, IBP and Ariba applications integrated with S/4
Experience in configuring and managing SAP BTP, SAP Cloud connector, Integration and Management of SAP SaaS solutions
Implementation of Solution Manager, CCMS configuration, Early Watch, Maintenance Optimizer etc. and Applying Kernel Upgrades, ABAP & Java Support Packages, Client Administration, client refresh, client deletion, client export/import, SLD setup/maintenance, integration & migration, ADS configuration, SAPROUTER Configuration
Working Knowledge in latest technologies (Ariba, MDG, IBP - Integrated Business Planner, SuccessFactors, SAP RISE cloud platform, BTP (within BTP - SAC - SAP Analytics Cloud, HANA Cloud, Cloud ALM, Integration Suite (CPI), lastly some Security and Linux Experience
SAP S4HANA Private Cloud or SAP Basis Certification is a plus"
