Job Description:

The Opportunity:

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will provide physical therapy services to patients who need to develop, recover, and maintain physical mobility and function within an assigned area.

The Work:

  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising therapist using appropriate modalities, seeking consultation as necessary.

  • Monitor patients' responses to the treatment plan.

  • Regularly communicate patient progress and potential goal revisions to the physical therapist.

  • Document services provided and patient responses/progress.

  • Educate patients and their families/caregivers.

  • Assist with patient discharge planning.

  • Provide information regarding the selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.

Qualifications:

  • Maine State Physical Therapy Assistant licensure required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification preferred.
