The UW Senior function is meant to be a partner to the business segments, offering support, expertise, and partnership. The existing diversity of the business portfolio demands from the UW Senior role specialized expertise in the different business areas. The UW Senior team works with the business to support a wide array of products and offerings, through a complex and highly demanding distribution force and network. UW Senior has the responsibility of delivering and materializing the product offer and promise. In the case of UW Senior this opportunity is given in even the most sensible and highly complex situations where the health and well being of our insureds and clients is touched and where we can make a significant difference at that level.

About the role What you need to know: This resource is in charge to contribute with 30% of the total budget for the line (13mill USD), mainly to increase new business for offline strategy in 2.2 mill USD attending accounts over 5K USD which represents to analyze around 1,600 submissions for new business, quote 1,200 offers and bound around 300 new policies which in a competitive market needs to provide timeline response and create business relations with the brokers also promoting AIG GO business strategy with visits and trainings in CDMX and AIG offices mainly in Monterrey, Tijuana and Puebla. In addition, the UW is responsible for the renewal process of policies with loss history to accomplish with guidelines and profitability for renewal accounts, analyze terms and conditions for the renewals to achieve total renewal budget 9.8 million USD, monitor business drivers as rate change and exposure change. Also is responsible for the portfolio maintenance and special programs following AIG GO strategy. This resource also participates in different projects: SISE 3G, marketing strategy and some automatization projects. Your contribution at AIG The employee will manage a portfolio of 4.3 mill USD and analyze around 530 new business submissions, quote approx. 400 business, and bound around 100 new policies per year. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Functional Responsibilities: • Mainly attend business submissions over 5K USD (average premium) select to quote those with accomplish guidelines and risk appetite, analyze, and present the quotation, following and negotiation to bound a new policy, always in communication aligned with distribution team, taking account of SLA´s as part of service in all the process, declination, quoting and negotiation. • Participate in monthly renewal process, ensuring accomplishment of guidelines, analyze renewal terms and conditions for accounts with losses to revert results in a profitable for the next period. • Maintenance portfolio requests, providing in a timely response the information that issuance team request to process requirements, taking account of SLA´s accomplishments as part of service • Interaction with other AIG areas to provide information requests as: Claims to provide information of policies if it need to continue with the claims process without taking part of the claim determination. With distribution teams to attend technical advisories to brokers if it´s necessary. • Maintain his/her UW information profile properly documented: including UW summary, authorization if it required, UW analysis and any other documentation to guarantee guidelines accomplishment. • Attend external clients to promote, train agents and brokers to reinforce business line strategy, strength relations with agents and brokers to increase and create new business opportunities always promoting AIG values and behaviors. • Approach and collaboration with the different internal areas of the company, for the resolution of the services that are outside the response times to achieve the appropriate solution and timely closure of the same always under UW authority and responsibility. • Participate in different activities and cooperate with necessary information to prepare reports and monitoring of results, KPI´s, AAL, LTP, and any other information which required. • Participate in assigned projects i.e., to improve operation as automatization processes, or any other which needs his/her actively participation. 2. Accountabilities: Achieve his/her individual goal with UW discipline stablished in annual budget (monthly monitoring). Contribution of Team´s goals for new business strategy and retention portfolio stablished in annual goal (monthly monitoring). Ensure the properly accomplishment of UW guidelines. Accomplishment of SLA´s established for all business requests. Attend internal and external clients which requires UW support. Participate actively in projects which involves UW participation. 3. Leadership Skills Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal. Time management – ability to manage & prioritize workload and diary management. Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment and with internal/external stakeholders at all levels. Ability to assist with technical training to team claim handlers as required. Ability to influence claims and non-claims stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategy. 4. Technical Skills and Expertise Office Package: Intermediate or advance level of Excel, Word, Outlook. Bachelor's Degree in actuary, engineering, administration, or similar information What we are looking for:

  • Experience:

  • At least 1 years of experience in Personal Property Underwriting or knowledge of Property Terms & Conditions.

  • Medium to advanced English.

  • People management experience is not required but is a plus.

  • Proven experience in the handling problems with agents, brokers, clients.

  • Along with technical skills required for the job, soft skills like effective broker engagement, commitment, teamwork, initiative-taking management, effective time management/prioritization, calendar organization, negotiation skills.

  • Effective analytical and attention to detail.
