    Position: People Partner (D.C. Office)

    Reporting to: Chief People Officer

    The People Partner Specialist is the face of RAINN's People Operations Team at our office spaces in Washington DC.

    Building great company culture by focusing on the environments and experiences our people have are the critical elements in how this role will help create the positive vibe for our RAINN team members virtually and in-person. We need a creative administrator who thrives on creating spaces where experiences bring out the best of everyone.

    The People Partner Specialist provides HR Generalist and Facilities Management support which includes but is not limited to onboarding support, wellness and safety activities, engagement programs, org-wide retreats, and in-office activities. They will be the primary point of contact for office services and general administration for our offices. They will also play a great role in project managing the deliverables, owners and timelines for many people experience strategic projects.

    This is a great growth opportunity for someone who wants exposure and experience in delivering almost all the critical generalist areas of HR. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, highly organized and efficient in all aspects of project management , employee relations and operations. The People Partner Specialist will be self directed with and with high energy and foster the RAINN brand. This hybrid role is full time and will be required to be onsite.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Office Management

  • Coordinate and oversee day-to-day logistics and coordination of office events.

  • Greet both clients and employees and set a supportive/positive office atmosphere.

  • Serve as the face of the company, offering friendly service to those entering the building or calling in on the phone.

  • Building contracts management, maintenance schedule, cleaning schedules and office communications

  • Manage relationships with vendors

  • Coordinate emergency drills and training sessions

  • Oversee the stock levels of inventory, maintenance of office supplies and printed materials.

  • Operate office equipment, such as photocopiers, printers, etc.

  • Accept deliveries and mail, organize them to be distributed to the correct recipients using the office mailing system and ensure they get to the recipient in a timely manner while also managing outgoing mail and packages for pickup.

  • Maintain the reception area, keeping it clean and free of clutter.

  • Perform inventory of storage units.

  • Meeting room management - coordination of technology, food services, health and safety.

  • Manage the updates to employer posters and safety signage

    People Champion Duties

  • Establish rapport and trust with colleagues to build a shared understanding of employee needs and business goals/activities

  • Serve as a champion and ambassador for change management initiatives and requirements with leadership and employees .

  • Handle employee-related inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs.

  • Assist with processing I-9 Forms onboarding paperwork, files, and documents.

  • Coordinate new team member onboarding sessions, including welcome sessions, brand introductions, and onboard training.

  • Maintain employee data and reports in UKG HRIS.

  • Assist in providing resources for company leadership and team members in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Assist in communication and planning.

  • Ensure managers and employees follow handbook policies

  • Keep up with current local laws and regulations, company standards, and guidance.

  • Respond to phone and email inquiries in the HR inbox. Assist employees and management with policy and procedure updates.

    Position Specifications/Requirements

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential functions satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required:

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 2-5 years experience Human Resources Coordinator/HR Generalist/Facilities/Operations Management
  • High School Graduate. PHR or SHRM-CP certifications a plus

  • UKG HRIS system experience a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.

  • Creative problem-solving and strong attention to detail;

  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Commitment to RAINN's mission and goals.

  • Adaptable by nature, responsibilities will shift as the company grows.

  • Must reside in the DMV area. Will be required to work onsite and periodically be on-call.

  • Must be comfortable discussing issues surrounding sexual violence.

  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check (administered by RAINN).

  • The person in this position needs to regularly move about inside the office to access cabinets, office equipment, etc.

  • Must have vision correctable to a level where an individual can operate a computer, visualize text on a computer monitor.
