Shift: Business Hours (8:30 am to 5:00 pm), and occasional Manager On Duty (MOD) responsibilities
Location: Alexandria, VA
Pay: We offer competitive pay for LPNs ranging from $28-$35 per hour and for RNs ranging from $39 to $45 per hour plus shift differentials!
Job Summary
As Unit Manager, you will ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of residents in the Health Care Center. You will assess residents and participates in development of Care Plans, you will oversee the delivery of appropriate services to residents that allow a maximum level of independence, and you will maintain close working relationships and open lines of communication with all departments to fulfill the psychosocial needs of residents, as well as clinical ones.
Job Duties
Apply advanced knowledge with respect to clinical matters, serving as a role model and resource, including performing direct patient care as necessary.
Fill in for assigned personnel to avoid interruption in safe patient care until additional assigned personnel are located and available for work.
Supervise, counsel, and provide discipline when necessary, to nursing team members to ensure the highest quality care possible.
Train new, inexperienced and present assigned personnel by instruction and demonstration of safe or proper working procedures.
Provide input for development of work schedules for unit assigned, including vacation, leaves of absence, call-in, call-off, and other time off requirements.
Job Requirements
Must be a graduate of an approved RN or LPN program.
Must have current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or compact state of residence.
Must have current CPR certification.
