Expedient Network Engineer in United States
Expedient is hiring a Network Engineer to join the Delivery & Implementation team. Successful candidates will have significant depth and technical knowledge of multi-site network design with a variety of technologies. This position will work remotely and join a team of other Network Engineers and Technicians focusing on delivery of managed services and solutions for Expedient clients.

This position will design and configure network virtual and cloud services connecting clients to their public, private, multi-site cloud and traditional colocation datacenters. Our Network Engineers work with latest in Software-Defined Networking (SDN), firewalls, content security and threat prevention, remote access, and network automation as they facilitate the deployment of new and/or migration of the client’s workload to Expedient platforms.

The Network Engineer Needs:
Demonstrated level of competency with the following technologies:
Firewalls and security products
Virtual private networks
Network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, and MPLS)
Enterprise/carrier-class routers and switches
Software-defined networking such as VMware NSX or another major technology provider
The successful Network Engineer will have a strong ability to prioritize, trouble-shoot and solve problems, a passion for learning and working with new technology (lots of that!) and the ability to work the occasional scheduled evenings and weekends on unique projects.
The Network Engineer Will:
Develop and construct a successful design, implementation, and migration plan for the Expedient client based on the project specs
Deliver standard network services during project implementations for the client
Provision VLANs, VxLANs, and IP routing connectivity inter/intra datacenter and to/from client premise
Work with EVPN, BGP, MPLS, dedicated private circuits, and spine-leaf architecture
Deploy and configure network appliances
Implement and configure Security Firewalls (including content filtering, log management, intrusion detection and prevention). In many cases configuration will be based on a pre-existing firewall and configuration will need ported to the newly deployd firewall.
Implement Load Balancers, Remote access, and VPNs; NSX Distributed Routers
Implement network disaster recovery services and participate in client testing
Trusted advisor for clients during configuration of content security, logging and threat management services
Education and Certifications
The ideal candidate may possess one or multiple industry technical certifications from IT-related vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto, and Juniper
Associates degree with relevant work experience is preferred
Applicants without a degree but with demonstrated experience will be considered
Salary will ultimately be based on your experience and skills. The estimated, average salary range for the skills needed for this job in multiple cities is $80,000 - $110,000 annually.
