What the day will look like
The Natural Resources Industries Leader LATAM is a recognized authority in the industry able to commercialize vertical services through the commercial teams. Will be lead & support the development of the strategic plan for the NR industry, partnering closely with solution lines, subregions, countries, and our global organization with the main goal to support and be responsible for the execution of our NR Industry strategic plan. Also responsible for coordinating all strategic and tactical initiatives of Client Experience within NR industry in LatAm, coordinating priorities that support growth plans. Besides that, will coordinate initiatives approved for the Region/Subregions that are presented at the regional level (Latin America) or at the Global leadership level, adjusting them to local reality where applicable and needed. Work with the ACL Client Experience & Industries Leader LATAM to set strategic Client Experience NR industry priorities and implement them through a broad range of team members. Another important point is support LATAM Commercial team leaders and NR industry verticals teams in subregions on the development, planning and monitoring of key critical initiatives.
Client Excellence:
Building personal and company brand and visibility in the market;
Supports the country champions for NR industry revenue growth in the respective markets;
Oversight and input into the region’s largest clients and new business opportunities ;
Builds a strategy and drives the plan to accelerate closure of the largest opportunities;
Connects with AON´s NR industry authorities to bring standard methodologies to LATAM;
Develops and implements a NR industry marketing plan that demonstrates key events e.g. insight series with support of Marketing team;
Responsible for crafting cross solution line NR industry insight, innovation and thought leadership - e.g. top issues effecting CHROS, CFO, CRO and RM;
Provides updates for the intranet industry site, contacts, content, thought leadership etc;
Meetings with top 5-10 clients and prospect on a yearly basis.
Broking Excellence:
Influence and oversight the industry clients in the region - placement, rollover / retention;
Develops and maintains close collaboration and working relationship with local broking, SAMs, AEs, the GBC teams, AGRC, Claims teams and the Central Broking team;
Is part and support customer concern processes with Clients and Risk Carriers;
Dealmaker skills;
Drives and supports innovation;
Team Excellence:
Has a country NR industry champion network and is working towards set goals;
Monthly calls and regular in person meetings with the in-country network to enable communication, share initiatives and innovative solutions, crafting a community feeling and build trust;
Scales through the vertical community content, insights, client wins etc;
Contribution to the wider leader industry vertical network and internal communications and promotion of the area.
Solution lines:
Knowledge and input, demonstrating comprehensive understanding across all Aon Solution lines;
Identify key solution line specialist to improve offering for the industry;
Ensures successful and effective dialogue between solution lines and the industry vertical.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure the ‘NR industry business plan’ is performed as planed with the agreed timelines;
Give and establish a relationship with the global NR industry where applicable;
Ensure the IV forms robust commercial data and insights to support IV plans and growth (using and promoting the usage of Aon Connect).
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Deep knowledge business environment in Latin America, trends and macroeconomic factors impacting our business;
Prior exposure to P&L management and validated financial skill;
Ability to communicate and connect easily; and to deal with sophisticated, ambiguous, and constantly evolving situations;
Determined and motivated, with an ability to show initiative in all situations;
Analytical capabilities and critical thinking to drive strategic insights to improve the business;
Teammate, able to identify required skills in an inclusive and complementary team and distribute workload accordingly and supervise progress;
Educated to university degree level;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Proficient in Spanish, English and / or Portuguese;
Relationship capital: Builds and maintains deep client relationships at the executive level across multiple buying centers, and uses that capital to understand objectives, influence client thinking, and build results;
Consulting skills: Identifies client needs and clearly articulates the problem to be solved; recognizes challenges and barriers to solving them and assembles internal resources to achieve the desired client outcome;
Upholds and demonstrates Leadership values;
Creative, entrepreneurial thinker able to translate strategic concepts into proven business executable growth opportunities;
Position ideally based in Santiago, Chile or Buenos Aires, Argentina.
