About the Position

The Goodwin Living Fall Internship gives Marymount University and NVCC students the opportunity to explore the field of senior living and engage in a department that is essential to our organization. Interns can apply for a position in the following four departments: Brain Health, Marketing/Communications, Goodwin Living at Home & Home Care (Operations/Business), and Administration with the Executive Office. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until positions are filled.

This program can fulfill the hours necessary for the school-credit internship requirement, if needed. The program can be completed as a 100, 120, or 160 hour schedule. Interns will be required to submit all necessary onboarding documents and attend an orientation prior to their start date.

Interns will receive a stipend, school-credit, a resident mentor, and 2-3 professional development workshops with our leadership team.

Job Requirements

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in Marymount University or NVCC

  • Ability to relate to and work with team members and their department

  • Creates a welcoming, friendly and adaptable environment for those they serve and work with

  • Be interested to work with a diverse population of older adults

  • Have a can-do mindset and be excited to learn about all we have to offer

  • Proficient with email communications and knowledge of Microsoft Office

Job Duties

  • Follow all procedures of the host department

  • Engage in projects as defined by the host department

  • Assist in day to day task of the host department

Brain Health

Activities / Evaluation (i.e., Music Therapy, Art Therapy), Research and Community Outreach

Marketing & Communications

Blog Writing, Digital Marketing, Content Strategy, Brand Management and Internal Communications

Business/Strategy

Support for expansion of the Service Line, Marketing and Programming Support at Goodwin Living at Home

Administration with the Executive Office

Policy and Procedures, Resident Support, Resource Development
