House of Blues Marketing Manager in United States
Location: Cape Town, South Africa
Division: Ticketmaster South Africa
Line Manager: Managing Director
Contract Terms: Permanent
As the Marketing Manager, you will carry out all local marketing activities once we have launched our products and services in South Africa. You will be the first member of a growing marketing team and will report to the Country Managing Director. You will work closely with the International team and ensure best practices and initiatives are used in all marketing channels in the market.
The job is to deliver high quality marketing campaigns, to inform fans about concerts and live events and to drive ticket sales. With demonstrable experience in running marketing campaigns across CRM, Display, Social, and PPC, you are a data-driven marketer with an eye for detail, and a solid appreciation of how to market tickets to live events. Our website, for which you and our marketplace web specialist will be responsible for, will play a key role in building our brand and becoming the leading destination for fans of all ages to buy tickets on.
The ability to keep calm under pressure and prioritise is key in this role. Frequently tight deadlines between an event being confirmed and the on-sale taking place mean that you must be confident, proactive and organised.
Your great communication skills will help you liaise with our clients (Promoters, Venues, Teams and Managements). As soon as an event is confirmed, you will work to acquire or develop the necessary marketing assets and images that are needed.
The ideal candidate will need to be an enthusiastic self-starter, who can work both independently and as part of the wider team working to establish Ticketmaster South Africa. Your role may extend outside of the B2C sphere and you will be asked to help prepare client-facing marketing documents or assets. It helps to have a pragmatic and organised approach to work, and transparency to those around you just how much you can achieve on sometimes limited time and resource.
