IHS Markit Market Analyst II - Portuguese Speaking Preferred in United States
Description of the Role:
A market analyst II is responsible for foundational research and analysis for consulting projects. This includes obtaining primary and secondary information, organizing databases, conducting quantitative analysis, and developing findings based on that analysis. For projects for which primary information is needed, a consultant will conduct interviews with industry participants and other stakeholders. A market analyst works as a part of a team on each project and will typically write a draft of the section(s) of the report corresponding to the work for which he or she is responsible. Unless a market analyst II is an integral part of a large-scale project, he or she will typically work on the teams for multiple projects simultaneously.

Consulting Project Management
Work and manage sections of project and overtime manage the less complex projects
Work on several projects simultaneously
Relay any related concerns/issues with on a timely manner to Senior Consultants, VPs or SVPs
Consulting Project Execution
Conduct extensive primary and secondary research and analysis of the markets relevant to the food and agriculture supply chain, including transportation, renewable energy sectors, agricultural and trade policy and overall regulatory environment.
Manage, organize, and analyze large sets of data using Excel, Access or related tools
Develop questionnaires and conduct high-level interviews with industry participants
Analyze information by using economic, financial, statistical/econometric, business strategy principles and methods (e.g., financial statement analyses, price forecasting, etc.)
Develop original content and/or analytical approaches
Write parts of consulting reports and consolidate work from other member into a single report
Synthesize research findings to effectively communicate this research, findings and conclusions to clients
Identify external consultants for eventual contract hiring

Solid Understanding of Agriculture
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Ability to expand knowledge base to multiple markets, analytical tools and area of expertise (e.g., economics, finance, strategy, econometrics)
Ability to conceptualize and synthesize complex issues
Strong communication skills including writing and oral presentation capabilities
Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint and other software used within the group
Masters, MBA or PhD in business, economics, agricultural economics or a related field and work experience of at least 2 years
