Cabela's Manufacturing Engineering Process Technician in United States

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Engineering Process Technician is responsible for the on call technical support for manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Specializes in process knowledge and boat construction they will then break down barriers that hinder efficiencies such as process, quality, warranty, and through-put issues.

  • Develops new product, with their input ensuring that boats are designed to fit within the manufacturing processes that is being homed in New Bern.

  • Provides on floor support for Manufacturing.

  • Projects (building new product, fixtures, or jigs).

  • Audits Manufacturing for BOM or process improvement (CI work).

  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Associates or technical training in any field

  • Preferred Degree: Bachelors in any engineering field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Self-Starter

  • Technical Aptitude

  • Hands-on when needed

  • Basic Cad capabilities including print creation

  • Good inter-personal skills

  • Can work well and train others

  • Background in Boat Building or Composites helpful

  • Able to create work instructions

  • Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
