Government Accountability Office Management and Program Analyst in United States

Summary The GAO is part of the Legislative Branch of the Federal government. As such, all positions are in the excepted service. As a Strategy and Policy Manager, the position is located in the Center for Audit Excellence (CAE), which is housed within the Strategic Planning and External Liaison (SPEL) team in the U.S Government Accountability Office (GAO). Responsibilities As a Management and Program Analyst, PT-0343-3 your typical work assignments may include the following: Lead all CAE efforts, with direction and input from the CAE Director, for strategic planning, such as defining CAE goals, outcomes, and measures. Design, develop and manage CAE's procurement, travel and document management operations, including developing, implementing, and amending. Lead CAE's human capital operations with overall responsibility for developing, implementing and enhancing CAE's workforce and human capital-related procedures and guidance. Develop sophisticated, new and innovative ways to optimize communications on CAE performance and operations, to include oral presentations and written documents. Direct and oversee CAE's financial operations, including developing, implementing, and expanding CAE financial policies, procedures, and guidance and represent CAE on these matters to external entities. Completion of a probationary period may be required Qualifications You may qualify at the PT III level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year (52 Weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the NEXT LOWER BAND or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to defined as experience serving in a leadership role to identify, develop, implement and communicate key policies and practices related to strategic planning and performance measurement, operational logistics, human capital management, and financial management.
