We are looking for an experienced Lease Administrator who is searching to do what they'll love - retail and commercial real estate leasing! Do you have experience in lease administration? Trader Joe's is unlike any place you've ever worked. Trust us on that. The qualified individual has at least 3 years of lease administration experience and is a raving fan of the Trader Joe's concept. A Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. This role is based in our office in Monrovia, California.

The Lease Administrator is the primary internal and landlord liaison for the management of over 300 leased store locations and warehouses.

The Lease Administrator is responsible for:

  • Review and process all invoices including rent and annual CAM/Tax/Insurance budgets and reconciliations.

  • Abstract, interpret, summarize retail and warehouse leases while inputting them into Tango, our lease management system, and maintaining all lease documentation.

  • Respond to all landlord billing/lease inquires and correspondence.

  • Assist in the insurance administration process associated with lease requirements

  • Calculate and process monthly percentage rent payments.

  • Collect subtenant rent and bill for CAM reimbursements as required by leases.

  • Complete special projects as required.

  • Assist in preparing waivers, SNDAs, estoppels, and amendments.

  • Obtain landlord approvals for remodels and special projects

  • Respond to internal requests for lease interpretations

The Lease Administrator has:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience in multi-unit real estate/leasing environment.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in lease administration for a multi-unit tenant.

  • Proficient in reviewing and interpreting lease documents.

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Projectmates/Siterra/Tango lease database software experience highly desired.
