Overview
HarperCollins Christian Publishing is seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented professional to join our Online Retail Sales team as an Amazon Key Account Manager. This full-time role focuses on supporting our Bible, Academic, and Reference imprints, in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate excels in analyzing sales trends and leveraging data insights to drive sales growth and reach new customers. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to the ever-changing online retail landscape are essential.
This position offers a remote working opportunity with travel as necessary to meet the needs of the business.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
Achieve revenue and profit goals for assigned account.
Develop innovative promotional strategies to drive sales and generate revenue.
Manage sales strategies and budgets for assigned imprints.
Provide thorough analysis, input, and feedback on account performance, including:
Assigning sales projections for new book proposals.
Delivering consistent, accurate feedback to publishers.
Identifying promotional opportunities to maximize account potential.
Presenting sales analysis to internal stakeholders.
Build and maintain productive relationships with key account stakeholders.
Analyze sales trends and consumer data to identify growth opportunities and inform decision-making.
Conduct market research to track industry trends and competitor activity, sharing actionable insights with internal teams.
Collaborate with internal teams to support corporate objectives.
Actively participate in internal meetings with publishing and marketing teams to share market insights.
Adapt to the evolving online channel landscape; responsibilities may shift to address changing market needs.
Qualifications
Knowledge
Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in account management, data analysis, or related fields.
Experience working with national or online accounts preferred. Familiarity with metadata management and digital content optimization is a plus.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, data analytics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of online retail platforms and e-commerce trends. Familiarity with sales forecasting, consumer data analysis, and market research. Knowledge of the publishing industry, especially Bible and academic publishing, strongly preferred.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain productive relationships with account stakeholders.
Strong presentation skills to effectively communicate insights, strategies, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Exceptional follow-through to ensure tasks and initiatives are completed successfully.
Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights to drive strategic priorities.
Advanced planning and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in trend research to identify market opportunities and inform strategy.
Understanding of finance, including sales forecasting and budgeting.
Proficiency with tools and platforms such as Excel, data visualization tools, or e-commerce analytics is preferred.
Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving online retail landscape.
The salary range for this position is $65,000 – $85,000 with an additional bonus opportunity. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
