Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide expert assistance to faculty and instructors by planning, designing, and developing high-quality and effective digital education content. Support the pedagogic transformation of digital education within the university; work with faculty to select the appropriate strategies, software, and technology required to meet the desired learning outcomes. Provide assistance in the creation and facilitation of faculty and staff educational opportunities related to the proper use of digital learning technologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist and support faculty in the development of online courses utilizing available learning technologies.
Provide development support to faculty in course redesign for effective digital education.
Support the team in the exploration and identification of technologies that meet course, program, and institutional goals.
Integrate learning technology tools and vendor products.
Maintain communication with IT support to advance alignment, standards, and innovation, as well as develop long-term solutions.
Participate in faculty, staff, and student training and development of guides and informational resources.
Experiment with and remain current in new and emerging technologies, including software, hardware, mobile, and cloud technologies that can enhance digital education.
Support faculty in the implementation of courses using an LMS (Canvas).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience in instructional design.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Knowledge of online course design principles and practices.
Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and instructional technologies.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in instructional/educational technology or related field.
Four years demonstrated experience with design and delivery of effective digital education initiatives.
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
Higher education teaching experience.
Experience with quality metrics (Quality Matters, OLC, etc.).
Experience utilizing Office 365 or Google Suite.
Experience working with multimedia and course-authoring tools (Camtasia, Adobe Cloud, Captivate, Storyline, etc.).
Experience in managing complex projects with the ability to plan, organize, and successfully coordinate multiple priorities to meet all deadlines and deliverables.
Knowledge of universal design, ADA compliance, and interactive learning experiences.
Knowledge of web-conferencing and collaboration platforms .
Other Requirements
Effective verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to adhere to university policies and procedures.
Skills in gathering and processing information to provide technology support to a variety of stakeholders.
Ability to successfully complete tasks according to established deadlines.
