RedHat Global Strategic Sales Account Executive in United States

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Global Strategic Sales Account Executive with a record of successfully delivering business results to lead global sales activities with our telco network ecosystem. In this role, your primary responsibility will be increasing incremental revenue through alignment between Red Hat and our telco ecosystem, focusing on the telco global system integrator (GSI) engagement with the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), like HPE, Dell, and Lenovo. You’ll need excellent management and executive engagement skills in order to provide alignment across a wide range of Red Hat and partner stakeholders. To effectively perform these responsibilities, experience in strategic alliances and direct sales is required, as well as a deep understanding of network ecosystems and related business models. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

What you will do

  • Guide all telco related alignment activities with target OEMs including HPE, Dell, and Lenovo, spanning product management, marketing, presales, sales, services, and support

  • Maximize bookings with overall telco targeted OEMs with specific targets linked to sales results, these include, but are not limited to, bookings, forecasts, pipeline, mutually agreed account plans, and management by objectives (MBOs)

  • Track, monitor, analyze, and share bookings and royalty reports with targeted OEMs with the telco geo leaders on a regular cadence

  • Increase incremental pipeline with and through the targeted OEMs with specific yelco solutions or offers

  • Build a short and focused catalog of joint solutions or offers, with and through the targeted OEMs; work with marketing and other Red Hat entities to build out playbooks, solution guides, and enablement training

  • Support the Telco Account teams to develop executive relationships and alignment, coordinated tightly with Red Hat’s product leadership to ensure design win pursuits fit with overall Red Hat Telco market strategy and commercial models

  • Represent Red Hat telco and the partnership as a spokesperson and presenter at internal and external telco OEM related events

  • Measure OEM telco bookings and the pipeline generated by the offers created in partnership with the targeted OEMs

  • As the business grows, build a direct or matrixed team to replicate and grow success

What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience in the high tech or network ecosystem industry, with a deep understanding of Red Hat, open source, and customer issues in delivering on the promise of network transformation

  • Large or global account sales experience, with demonstrated excellence in delivering results against an aggressive growth plan

  • 5+ years of partner or alliance management experience, with a focus on developing large strategic partners

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, presales, sales, and support

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse senior executives and program owners

  • Highly collaborative work style with proven ability to gather consensus and get support for decisive and timely action

  • Willingness to participate in extensive travel in line with Red Hat’s COVID-19 guidelines

  • MBA degree is a plus
