Global Benefits (GB) Senior Vice President Sales Consultant

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and either from our New York or Chicago office.

What the day will look like

We are looking for someone with significant experience in the global benefits and/ or human capital industry to lead our sales efforts across North America (NA). This sales individual will work directly with the NA GB leader and the Global Chief Commercial Officer for GB in executing a defined sales strategy to expand our client lists for global benefits, focused on targeting of new clients and gaining introductions for our services that can be supported by the GB consulting teams.

Expanding Opportunities for Global Benefits

  • Drive targeting new logo opportunities for global benefit sales, leveraging the full breadth of AON’s current relationships to expand new business.

  • Create a robust pipeline.

    Organizing Target Lists:

  • Manage lists of target clients for GB across North America.

    Role on Client Team

  • Track progress on sales execution for target lists.

  • Connect with target clients via e-mail, social media, as well as in person and telephone with objective of creating leads for consulting teams.

    Managing Intellectual Capital

  • Organize all GB practice intellectual capital (surveys, whitepapers, newsletters, etc..) as well as existing marketing and new client materials (ie - GB service line PPT’s), with goal of making it easier for consultants and sales team to connect with targeted clients.

    Client Facing

  • Have regular connections with internal Aon business practice leads and sales channels and with targeted clients through social media and in person and virtual opportunities.

    Relationship

  • Anticipate and address internal and external client needs and establish relationships to help drive sales opportunities.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Ten plus years global benefits (strongly preferred) or large market health sales experience

  • Exceptional consultative skills

  • Demonstrates high quality client interaction and comprehensive sales/ marketing skills

  • Participates in training opportunities to stay current with all key global benefit consulting topics and research

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent years of industry experience.

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $180,000 to $270,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

    This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive production incentives in addition to base salary. The amount of any production incentives varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.

    Aon offers a comprehensive package of benefits for full-time and regular part-time colleagues, including, but not limited to: a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions; an employee stock purchase plan; consideration for long-term incentive awards at Aon’s discretion; medical, dental and vision insurance. This role does not accrue vacation. Rather, this role is eligible to take paid time off at the discretion of the employee and management in accordance with Company policy and practices.
