Essential Functions* of the position are detailed below and include any physical requirements checked below:1. Oversees the operations of the food pantry, including but not limited to purchases, pick-ups and deliveries of nutritionally appropriate and balanced food for distribution to clients.2. Develops and maintains sources of food and/or financial donations through presentations and outreach as necessary to support the food pantries.3. Promotes adherence to all agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies.4. Completes all required documentation in accordance with agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies.5. Maintains up-to-date and accurate client files and databases, as required by agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies in the course of performing job expectations.6. Responsible for ensuring that the food pantry is adequately staffed each day utilizing volunteers and staff.7. Responsible for and/or makes the needed recommendations for the hiring, discipline and performance evaluation of staff; responsible for coaching, supervising, training, and professional development of staff; responsible for assigning work to staff and ensuring the work is performed in an efficient, prompt, professional and accurate manner and provides guidance, when necessary. PLEASE NOTE: Essential functions include all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. X Kneel and move from sitting, bending, kneeling or standing multiple times a day. X Push and pull objects up 50 pounds. Climb up and down up to flights of stairs at a time.X Lift up to 50 pounds. X Additional Physical Requirements: Walking/Standing for extended periods of time. Must be able to reach in all directions. Stock shelves with food pantry items and/or move hands in repetitive motion when bagging food pantry items as needed. Other Requirements: Comply with program and/or Agency requirements related to: X Background check, including any program specific requirements Physical examination Drug Testing TB TestingX Driver's License and reliable transportation X Agency-specified automobile insurance Additional Requirements:Immediate Supervisor: Interim Senior Director-Lake County Community and ProgramsDirectly Supervises: Food Pantry Workers, Volunteers and InternsIndirectly Supervises: N/A Education and Experience Requirements: Relevant Education:Preferred: Master's Degree in social services field Minimum: Bachelor's DegreeRelevant Experience:Preferred: 5-7 Years in project management or program coordinationMinimum: 3 Years proficient in Microsoft Office products. Excellent skills in verbal and written communication. Certification/Licensure:Preferred: Food Certification License Minimum: Food Certification License obtained with three (3) months of hire.
