Position Summary

The Financial Systems & Reporting Manager oversees the administration and day-to-day support of HuFriedyGroup corporate financial consolidation system, reporting packages, and the company’s business intelligence environment. The role involves close collaboration with the Finance team and cross functional business partners and includes conceiving, designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions which deliver actionable insights while ensuring data integrity, processing all functional/business changes, communicating with key stakeholders and end users, and ensuring compliance with existing regulations.

The Financial Systems & Reporting Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the administration and day-to-day support of HuFriedyGroup's corporate financial consolidation system, financial reporting packages and business intelligence imperatives. This role involves collaborating closely with the Finance team, cross-functional business partners, and IT to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that deliver actionable insights while ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulations.

Duties

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business intelligence needs and develop corresponding Business Intelligence strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

  • Manage the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of financial consolidation systems across various strategic workflows, including FP&A, external reporting, corporate accounting, tax provisioning, and management reporting. This includes collecting requirements, designing, building, and testing to deploy changes.

  • Manage all aspects of key reporting systems including, but not limited to business hierarchies, rules, workflows, dashboards, and reporting views/packages.

  • Collaborate with IT to design, implement, and maintain a scalable data architecture (e.g., data warehouses, ETL processes) to support reporting needs, including managing integrations and data quality processes from multiple source systems.

  • Work with the Data Governance Committee and IT to ensure data governance and quality standards (data dictionaries, validation checks, data steering committees, etc.)

  • Utilize BI tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) to create, maintain, and update financial reports, dashboards, and forms. Provide training and user education. Document specifications and processes.

  • Work with Data Governance Committee to assess current report catalogue and new end user and stakeholder reporting requests for appropriateness and alignment with the company’s business intelligence strategy.

  • Partner with the Data Governance Committee to assess current reports and new reporting requests, ensuring alignment with the BI strategy and avoiding report proliferation.

  • Provide support, training, and guidance for users on system functionality, troubleshooting data issues, and access/reporting problems.

  • Foster cross-functional data sharing through working groups/forums and report distribution.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or 10 years recent related work experience in lieu of degree will be accepted.

  • 5+ years of experience in financial system administration/implementation (e.g., HFM, BPC, OneStream) and report & dashboard management.

  • Strong understanding of core financial processes (accounting, consolidation, planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and analytics).

  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) for building reports and dashboards.

  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to see and tell the story in numbers.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface effectively with all levels of employees.

  • Deadline focused and ability to multi-task and deliver on multiple projects concurrently.

  • Exceptional organization skills, strong work ethic, results focused and quick learner.

  • Demonstrated ability to offer different points of views and problem solve.

  • Excellent business writing and presentation skills
