JEVS Human Services Financial Advisor in United States

The Financial Advisor handles overseeing money management, social security, and other resource inquiries for individuals who live in a CLHS home.

The Advisor’s role is to safeguard funds and assure there is no mishandling of their funds while advising them how to spend their money to assure their needs are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains all records on consumer funds according to County and State regulations.

  • Provides financial counseling to individuals who can handle their own money.

  • Reconciles monthly spending, special spend downs, and personal spending within the RFMS system.

  • Supervises inventory of consumer personal possessions.

  • Submits payment requests to pay consumer bills, load pre-paid cards with personal spending, or write checks on consumer’s behalf.

  • Prepares individual room and board contracts for new residents.

  • Maintains relationships with public agencies (Social Security, CAO, etc.) to maintain the proper level of benefit income and waiver renewal.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in business or related field

  • Hands–on experience implementing individual financial programs a plus.

  • Knowledge of Windows, Outlook and Microsoft Office Professional, including Word, Access and Excel required.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

The base pay for this position ranges from $45,000 to $53,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
