Burrell Behavioral Health Facilities Management Technician I in United States

Job Description:

The Facilities Management Technician I is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair work on buildings, equipment, and grounds. Technician I’s must be focused on client and employee’s need for the greatest client experience and most effective result. Technician I’s must be able to work independently or within a team environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Functions in accordance with Operational Guidelines and within a professional code of ethics.

  • Participates in and contributes to the various staff developmental activities of the system.

  • Is sensitive and responsible to management needs, such as data collection, program evaluation, development of grant applications, maintenance of various contracts for service, etc.

  • Participates in all required meetings.

  • Regularly participates in evaluations of self-according to Operational Guidelines.

  • Perform all work in a safe manner using any and all required safety equipment and by following all safety procedures.

  • Completes all work orders in a timely manner. Maintain work order system as required.

  • Remains alert for any safety hazards at any properties and report them to Facilities leadership for immediate corrective action.

  • Submit all credit card and fuel charges for accounting in a timely manner.

  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.

  • Awareness of all applicable codes and regulations related to facility maintenance.

  • Available to be on-call, work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned by Facilities Leadership team.

  • Ability to perform effectively in the face of changing job demands

  • Determined to be reliable, motivated, creative, with good customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently or within a large group.

  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, equipment, materials and supplies related to maintenance and repair of facilities and infrastructure, landscape areas, and vehicles.

  • Knowledge of safety practices and principles related to maintenance activities including any applicable laws or regulations.

  • Capable of effectively communication and interaction with coworkers, managers, subordinates and the general public sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred

  • Two (2) years responsible employment history with an emphasis on previous maintenance experience.

  • None

Employment Requirements:

  • Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.

  • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.

  • All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.

  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.

Physical Requirements:

ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
