GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) is seeking a Grants & Contract Manager who will oversee a grant budget of $10 million over the course of five (5) years for the Disability Innovation Fund (DIF). This position will be responsible for preparing program reports, tracking and collecting data, and maintaining filing systems for the program. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing program communications, scheduling meetings, and supporting the DVR leadership team.

This is an At-Will Employee Contract (AWEC) position. Limited State benefits are available for this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.
Oversee a grant budget of $10 million over the course of five (5) years for the Disability Innovation Fund (DIF)
Respond to daily program requests and provide documentation, research, and support to the DVR leadership team
Facilitate and lead meetings, and prepare and deliver presentations related to program efforts
Prepare program reports and effectively track and collect data
Maintain filing systems for the program; updated templates and outreach materials, as needed
Manage program emails, phone calls/messages, scheduling, and meeting minutes
Create and update program policies and procedures as necessary
Ability to recruit and collaborate with a variety of community stakeholders
Qualifications
PREFERENCES:
Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably Human Services.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in grants management, project management, and/or contract writing.
KNOWLEDGE:
Strong data evaluation and report writing skills, with the ability to present complex information in clear and comprehensive narratives
Understanding of state government functions, procedures, and state/federal laws, policies, and procedures related to the work system
Proficiency in computer skills, including typing, Excel, Word, and Google programs
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail
Effective communication and customer service skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
Adaptability and the ability to adjust priorities based on program requirements
Demonstrated flexibility and effectiveness in both team-based and independent work environments

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mostly sitting for long periods.
Frequent statewide travel may be required.
