NACE International Education Strategic Scheduling Specialist in United States
The scheduling specialist is responsible for optimizing AMPP’s resources and the strategic scheduling of Education courses. The incumbent negotiates and ensures that corporate, as well as government education contracts meet the needs of our clients, while fulfilling the strategic goals and mission of AMPP.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Negotiates and tracks GSA contracts to ensure AMPP is in compliance, while maximizing financial opportunities.
Researches, negotiates and secures contracted facilities in existing and new locations for holding AMPP classes.
Strategically places classes on the schedule to maximize ROI and AMPP resources.
Manages the selection process and negotiates contracts with new vendors for paint labs, hotels, shuttle companies, and third-party firms to host courses.
Delivers quotes, contracts, and promotes in-house training to corporate clients.
Creates custom corporate training contracts for larger clients and interfaces with Business Development staff on new requests.
Supervises the scheduling of contract personnel to deliver courses worldwide.
Researches, schedules and performs site audits, as required, of new locations.
Provide final approval for logistic coordinator requests to reschedule and cancel classes.
Creates trends to analyze course data and adds additional courses in over-performing areas.
Partners with 5+ AMPP Distribution Centers and locations worldwide to ensure each site has sufficient equipment to deliver courses.
Monitors budgets for courses ($20M+ annually), runs financials and audits the expenses of individual classes to maximize ROI.
Partners with 3rd party Associations and AMPP Sections to jointly deliver Education.
Will be required to take phone calls, attend meetings and answer emails on evenings and weekends as demands necessitate.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
4-year college degree in business, adult education, event scheduling or a related field is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of related work experience, preferably in a not-for-profit/associate field, is a requirement.
Prior event scheduling, contract negotiation, and project management skills in this role are a plus
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, members, employees of the organization, customers, and the general public.
