HOTLINE RESPONDER : Monday - Friday 4p-9p
Respond to incoming agency calls, in person walk-ins, or agency webchats to conduct client triage screenings for potential victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault. Ensure safety of callers, and provide instruction and eligibility criteria for ancillary and supportive services which include shelter, counseling, advocacy, case management, as well as other supportive services, and linkages to vital community resources.
Other responsibilities include:
Maintain communication with other internal programs for those seeking or receiving services.
Maintain related statistics, reports for hotline calls, client services and volunteer information in the agency client database.
Process work waivers for survivors of domestic violence referred through Department of Social Services.
Assist with hotline training to new staff and volunteers with ongoing support as needed.
Qualifications:
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Experience in crisis intervention and/or information hotline; the ability to handle crisis situations in a trauma informed approach.
HS Diploma or equivalent, degree in Social Work or related area is preferred.
Computer literate, MS Office and cloud based phone system skills.
