Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Docker Container Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Docker-based container solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security for our applications. The engineer will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline the build, deployment, and management of containerized applications across different environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain Docker containerized environments.
Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to deploy and manage applications in container platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build and deployment of Docker containers.
Monitor and optimize container performance, security, and reliability across production and development environments.
Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform or Ansible for container orchestration and automation.
Troubleshoot and resolve container-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
Document Docker processes, configurations, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with security best practices, including vulnerability scanning, container hardening, and secure image management.
Stay updated with the latest developments in Docker and containerization technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience working with Docker and containerized environments.
Strong knowledge of Docker architecture, container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly in deploying and managing containers.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Knowledge of container security best practices, including image scanning and runtime security.
Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues within a containerized environment.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and its implementation with Docker containers.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with container networking, storage, and scaling.
Familiarity with serverless and hybrid cloud technologies.
Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Experience with AirFoce Applications/Systems
