What you’ll be working on:
Supports Savers visions by managing the tax planning, reporting, and compliance function.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for tax matters, such as planning, corporate restructuring projects, mergers and acquisitions related to transaction analysis, due diligence and post merger integration
Develop key corporate tax strategies to minimize world wide tax burden.
Monitor company's transfer pricing policies and related documentation
Monitor legislative changes in foreign tax laws that may impact company's tax positions, including tax accounting implications
Supervises and manages the Tax team in the execution and delivery of services by hiring, training, coaching and mentoring staff.
Collaborates with the Controller and other managers to identify and analyze tax-related business opportunities and tax strategies that reduce the Company’s tax expense or improve cash flow. Researches tax issues and prepares appropriate documentation.
Prepares and/or reviews all federal, state, and foreign tax returns and related working papers for the United States, Canada and Australia.
Prepares and reconciles the annual financial statement tax provision and balance sheet accounts. Prepares and provides information for the annual external financial audit.
Responds and manages tax authority inquiries and audits. Provides information for settlement negotiations.
Monitors tax legislation relevant to Savers and informs those groups that might be affected by any legislative change.
Responds to questions or requests for information from team members and external contacts.
Participates on and leads department or companywide projects to support the Company’s goals and objectives.
What you have:
Working knowledge of federal, multi-state and international tax law and reporting requirements
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Working knowledge of tax procedures and processes
Working knowledge of financial databases and systems
Demonstrated supervisory, management and leaderships skills
Demonstrated planning and organization skills
Demonstrated customer service skills
Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions
Ability to make or influence decisions

Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
10+ years’ experience in tax reporting, including federal, multi-state, and international tax planning and compliance
3+ years’ experience managing team members
License as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
Preferred: Big 4 Accounting Firm experience
