Bon Secours Mercy Health Director Performance Improvement - Clinical (Remote) in United States

Summary:

Work From Home - Nationwide

Continuously identify innovative new ways of working to drive value capture and improved operational performance; scale these innovations across the system and sustain impact through focus on change management and capability building

Essential Responsibility:

  • Instill a culture of continuous performance improvement identification and scaling best practices

  • Identify process, technology and people issues through observation, stakeholder engagement, and quantitative analysis

  • Develop solutions with cross-functional buy-in with relentless focus on agility

  • Enable and unlock significant financial impact (>$1B) on transformation initiatives (e.g., nursing, throughput) and improvements in care delivery

  • Spot potential implementation risks and proactively raise and resolve with owners and executives at facility, market, group and system level

  • Codify best practices and scale standardization efforts across the ministry

  • Develop and track financial and KPI impact of process improvement efforts

  • Develop a suite of analytics that enable real-time reporting and help identify further opportunities in collaboration with analytics team

Qualifications , Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:

  • Education: Clinical Degree Required (e.g. BSN, MSN, MD, DO, PharmD, or similar field)

  • Licenses: Nursing License or MD/DO preferred

  • 3-5+ years of clinical experience or operational background in a healthcare environment

  • Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory and accrediting bodies, regulations and standards

  • General experience and knowledge of performance improvement methods such as Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, Rapid Cycle PDSA, GAP Analysis, and Reengineering

  • Clinically skilled profiles to drive change with clinical leaders, e.g. RN or other clinical staff with management and operational background

  • Experience and working knowledge of operations in (some of) the following areas of expertise:ambulatory, medical group ad hospital operations; pop health programs, managed care and revenue cycle

  • Ability to build consensus with stakeholders across the ministry
