Job Title: Director of Education Services Location: Carmel, NY FLSA Status: Exempt Position Type: Full Time Position Summary: Oversee all aspects of the Educational Program at the assigned school. Oversee the delivery of speech/language, occupational, and physical therapies to students. Essential Job Functions: * Implement/supervise new and existing educational programs. * Recommend, plan and implement school policies following state and federal regulatory requirements. * Establish and maintain positive, effective relationships with all public and private agencies. * Act as a liaison for the Education Department with other departments of the Agency as applicable. * Effectively and accurately report departmental administrative, financial, professional and programmatic information through use of data and statistics. * Ensure and maintain budgeted financial expectations. * Monitor and assure quality treatment for regular education, special education, clinical and ancillary service provisions for students from admission to discharge. * Maintain compliance for a safe and clean physical plant. Collaborate with grounds maintenance department as applicable. * Maintain exceptional customer relations communication with parents, funders, referral sources and community representatives. * Interview and hire all school personnel as necessary in accordance with agency policy. * Evaluate the performance of all school personnel on an annual basis. * Supervise and evaluate school curriculum and instruction. * Supervise the effective utilization of medical and professional consultant personnel. * Plan and conduct regular staff meetings and/or professional development with department personnel. * Supervise placement of student teachers, interns and volunteers. * Coordinate and report student's assessments including state, local and school based testing. * Provide for programming in-service training for educational/residential staff. * Manage and confirm admission of referred clients as assigned. * Represent the school for recruitment and promote retention of customer base (referrals). Experience and Education: * Master's degree in related field * Administration certification: SAS, SBL, SDL * Three years of supervisory experience * Three years of experience with students who have educational challenges * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
