Akumin Director, HR Business Partner - REMOTE in United States

The Director, HR Business Partner will provide strategic HR business partner support and leadership to assigned client groups. From a business partner standpoint, this role will partner with divisional executive and senior leadership team(s) to design and execute on a human capital plan required to achieve the strategic goals of the business(es). They will also dedicate significant time to partnering with senior leaders and the national HRBP Team to identify, develop and manage transformational HR programs and strategic initiatives including, but not limited to: Employee Experience & Engagement, Team Member & Leadership Development, Talent Assessments & Succession, and other large-scale change initiatives.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Actively partners with assigned business teams to develop and execute short- and long-term plans that effectively address tactical as well as strategic business priorities.

  • Understands unique business needs and nuances and identifies opportunities to maximize business performance.

  • Develops and recommends actions and/or delivers agreed solutions to maximize Team Member, Manager and Company performance.

  • Provides strategic and tactical guidance and support to management in a variety of areas – including, but not limited to:talent management, employee engagement, individual and organizational performance, org and role design, etc.

  • Designs and/or delivers training and development solutions that address specific business needs.

  • Leads and/or supports the execution of full cycle Merger & Acquisition related activities within assigned business groups (pre and post integration).

  • Identifies, initiates and leads enterprise-wide, transformational HR programs and strategic initiatives in the areas of TM Engagement / Experience, Team Member Culture / Mission, Vision, Values and other O/D activities such as Leadership Development, Talent Assessments & Succession Planning, etc.

  • Responsible for partnering with senior leaders and HRBPs on needs assessments and program design on a wide-array of HR solutions.

  • Identifies and presents significant insights uncovered through various employee insight and people analytics vehicles; supporting senior leadership to take meaningful actions and make evidence-based decisions that will position the company as an employer of choice and great place to work.

  • Effectively directs, develops, coaches and supports a national, field-based HR Business Partner team.

  • Serves as point of escalation for TMs to address ideas, issues and concerns.

  • Ensures the team has the tools, resources and knowledge to execute on key organizational initiatives.

  • Monitors and takes action to optimize individual and team performance, including the sharing of effective, real-time feedback.

  • Prioritizes and drives a development culture within the team.Serves as a thought leader for the broader HRBP team; helping to elevate capabilities and competencies.

  • Provides guidance and support to HR Business Partners for a variety of employee relations issues to ensure effective resolution.

  • Directly manages and resolves more complex issues, soliciting partnership with Sr. HR Leadership and/or Legal where appropriate.

  • Provides coaching, guidance and execution support to Managers and Team Members related to HR policies and procedures, individual performance issues, compliance issues, disciplinary actions and terminations.

  • Ensures all management and HR practices within the business are in compliance with relevant laws and Company policies and procedures.Investigates, responds to and drives resolution of workplace disputes.Where appropriate, recommends best practices that may help to ensure a positive Employer-Team Member relationship and promote a higher level of employee morale and engagement.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

  • A minimum of Five years of strategic HRBP experience at a manager level or above supporting senior-level business leaders.

  • Demonstrated success in prior HR Business Partner role(s) that include hands-on experience driving, developing and/or delivering employee engagement, OD, strategic talent management, succession planning, and advanced meeting/training facilitation within the business.

  • Experience and/or exposure to full cycle data analytics – from reporting and analysis of data to interpretation, presentation and application of insights.

  • Expert capabilities in performance management and employee relations, including investigation and positive resolution of complex cases.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence all levels of management, build relationships quickly, understand the business and assist business leaders in reaching their strategic goals.

  • Prior experience effectively leading cross-functional projects and teams; relying on informal leadership skills and influence, instead of authority, to drive consensus.

  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, time management and prioritization skills.

  • 25% Travel may be required.

Prefered:

  • Certificate in Human Resources Management or PHR preferred.

  • Masters Degree in HRM or MBA preferred.

  • Instructional Design.

  • Certified in delivery of 360 and/or other leadership / personality assessment tools.

  • Hands-on exposure to managing employee “experience” programs including administration of survey tools (i.e. Qualtrics).
