MKS Instruments Inc Director, Global Supply Chain Category Management in United States

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Director, Global Supply Chain Category Management at MKS you will partner with Global Supply Chain and internal teams to work in a collaborative international environment navigating multiple technologies, systems, processes, organizations, sites, cultures, and practices to understand & validate issues and facilitate solutions. You will manage a global team responsible for end-to-end aspects of Global Category Management. The product portfolio is very diverse and requires robust strategies, leadership, and negotiation skills to ensure customer expectations are met. In this role, you will report to the Senior Director of Global Category Management.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Develop and execute global category management strategies to optimize supply chain and drive cost savings

  • Lead a global team of category managers in identifying and managing strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple categories

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of category management strategies with overall business goals

  • Drive supplier relationship management and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and delivery

  • Monitor market trends and conduct market research to identify new suppliers, technologies, and industry best practices

  • Analyze data and conduct regular business reviews to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction

  • Travel Requirements: Up to 25% of Travel is required

Skills You Bring:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Engineering or Supply Chain, or equivalent experience

  • 12+ years of relevant experience working in a diverse and global supply chain organization

  • 12+ years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Optical category management in a manufacturing organization

  • 7+ years experience leading multifunctional, multicultural global teams

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills to build supporting networks

  • Interpersonal and leadership skills with executive level presentation proficiency

  • The ability to interact with customers, coworkers, suppliers, vendors, or the public in a safe, professional, and respectful manner.

  • The ability to take and follow directions and instructions.

    We are interested in a qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we will not be sponsoring work visas for this position, at this time.

    Compensation and Benefits: Salary Pay Range: $190,000 to $230,000 per year. This range is a good faith esti mate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.  At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

    Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
