Position: Director, Finance - Digital
Reports to: Headquarters (HQ) Finance VP
Job Summary
The Director, Finance - Digital will be responsible for all things Digital including understanding of division strategies and priorities, in-depth spend analysis and consistent finance presence supporting the SVP Digital, Brand General Managers and Brand Controllers with digital initiatives, budgeting, reporting, and evaluating the effectiveness of spend. The Director will also be responsible for supporting the HQ VP by owning key Divisional tasks. Workload will be approximately 65% Digital and 35% HQ.
Job Responsibilities
Partner with Brand Controllers, Brand General Managers, and digital teams on initiatives across Digital Media, content, Ecommerce and e-Boutiques; build a consolidated division level view of digital spend for use in strategic discussions and decision making
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders [brand marketing, brand finance, media, digital marketing & consumer relation marketing, ecommerce and content production] to be recognized as a valued partner and influencer of business drivers for profitable growth.
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop investment recommendations through test and learn scenarios, ROI analyses, benchmarking, and other specific spend deep dives
Manage total Digital spend monthly and during Budget/Trend and prepare digital commentary vs PY, Budget, Trend by brand and consolidated LDB
Online+Offline P&Ls analysis on spend between channels and specific e-retail related investments
Coordinate with commercial sales team on all promotional ecommerce spend programs to ensure profitability
Liaise with the Digital Marketing Organization (CDMO) on reporting requirements and ad-hoc request
Serve as the Finance knowledge expert for Digital; developing expert understanding of digital classifications/definitions, reporting requirements, L’Oréal USA best practices, etc. and ensuring that the division is aligned and compliant with such requirements
Lead the Division’s 3 Year Strategic Plan process
Manage Divisional Reporting: work with shared service / finance / cross divisional team to ensure best selection of reports is being run for the business, review and analyze reports and advise HQ VP of findings
Project Manage the Trend/Budget and monthly close processes by ensuring the team is meeting deadlines, understand shared service progress, advise on issues/delays and present a postmortem including suggestions for process changes and/or improvements
HQ ad hoc projects as requested
Skills
Must have expert-level experience with Excel & Financial systems
Effective as a self-starter; willing to work outside the confines of defined job responsibilities to make greater impact
Must be a proactive team player with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; business acumen; oral and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills
What’s In It For You:
Salary Range: $140,000 - $203,000. (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
