I. Objective:

The Systems Analyst/Developer position requires strong business skills and would be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and modifying systems including coding, testing, debugging and installing to support application systems.

The incumbent will consult with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.

The incumbent will also be responsible for writing documentation to describe custom configuration of applications and operating procedures to liaison with 3rd party application development consultants.

The position requires at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. You must have a working knowledge of relational databases, object oriented programming, web and client-server concepts and be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

II. Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide functional expertise to identify, evaluate and resolve applications issues.

  2. Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.

  3. Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.

  4. Analyze data contained in the corporate database and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implement solutions.

  5. Provides assistance and guidance to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology.

  6. Assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new and existing technology.

  7. Provide programming for in-house IT projects.

  8. Provide SQL administration in live and test environments.

  9. Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.

  10. Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications.

  11. Verify database and data integrity.

  12. Participate in weekly meetings with the IT global team to discuss progress and issues to be resolved.

  13. Serve as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving IT software issues.

  14. Provide help desk support when necessary.

  15. Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes.

  16. Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting of our ERP and CRM systems

  17. Assist in troubleshooting software application issues.

  18. Assist in managing 3rd party application development.

  19. Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects. Serve as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving IT software issues.

III. Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience in Systems Analyst or Developer role supporting enterprise software systems.

  2. Minimum of three to five (3-5) years demonstrated experience supporting an organization, preferably in the manufacturing or distribution industry.

  3. Fundamental knowledge of all aspects of windows computing; LAN/WAN technologies, protocols and diagnostic tools; network topologies; network operating systems; communications; databases, graphics, word processing and general office productivity tools.

  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  5. Experience in implementing and maintaining Relational Databases.

  6. Experience with writing and understanding T-SQL queries.

  7. This person will work directly with cross-functional teams and must have strong interpersonal skills.

  8. Working knowledge of relational databases.

  9. Any experience with ERP, CRM, LIMS, CMS would be considered a plus.

  10. Background in several of the following C#, Java Script, JSon, PHP, HTML, SSIS, BI and Crystal Reports.

  11. Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project.
