Debt Collector I Location: Des Moines, IA/Hybrid Duration: 3 months with possible extension Description: As a Temporary Collections Specialist, you will be expected to execute adequate and timely collection and/or instigate recovery activities in order to minimize risk costs and optimize returns. Day to Day: Identify and investigate payment arrears in the portfolio and code debtor appropriately in order to determine following collection process steps Communicate with debtors by telephone and in writing Manage debtors and arrears process Identify quality adjustment requests, complete the documentation package, and utilize company underwriting guidelines to approve or reject the request Continue all necessary actions to collect payments and/or terminate accounts Record debtor and arrears history in order to ensure a complete file as a sound basis for decision making during collection, recovery Your Profile: Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred 1-3 years of collections, customer service, and/or sales experience Experience & knowledge in the leasing & finance sector is a plus Ability to speak French or Spanish is a plus Customer focused A team player with excellent interpersonal skills Quality driven and results oriented Able to work in a very fast-paced environment and adapt to situations Details: 1-3+ years of B2B or B2C collections experience Experience with measurables and managing portfolios in a collections environment An individual with a background in the food and agriculture industry would be a plus Able to work out administrative issues and account reconcilements Ability to multitask and work out of multiple systems at once Ability to pivot from inbound to outbound calls at any given time.
