The Data Modeler designs, implements, and documents data architecture and data modeling solutions, which include the use of relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases. These solutions support enterprise data management, business intelligence, machine learning, data science, and other business interests.

What You Will Do
Information Modeling -- Creates fully attributed and documented conceptual, logical and physical models. Should be well versed in creating dimensional and ER models.
Requirements Analysis -- Analyzes data to verify business requirements and design the data models. Reviews business and analytic requirements to capture business rules for logical to physical mapping
Data Architecture – Participates in project specific architectural working groups to provide expertise in modeling. Provides inputs on the data management of data assets in the organization.
Mapping – Provides source and target data mapping as a high-level input to ETL development teams.
Standard Query Language -- Generates first cut physical model DDL and SQL for views for implementation by the DBA.The SQL must be written to optimize views based on the database engine used.
Documentation -- Creates, validates, and updates the data dictionary by coordinating with data governance team and business users. Captures business rules for logical to physical mapping in the models. Works closely with the data governance team to define data classification, PHI/sensitive information, and enterprise reference data in Collibra and modeling tool.
Standards & Process -- Facilitates model review sessions. Develops, follows, and matures the data modeling standards and guidelines listed out for different data stores.
Modeling on Snowflake platform - We are embarking on a new initiative of building warehouse layer on Snowflake platform. It’s an exciting initiative where in Data Modelers will play a key role in designing the business(subject area models) and consumption(datamarts) layers with an Industry standard health care model as reference
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)
3+ years of experience in related field.
In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field.
Knowledge of Healthcare data
Experience and exposure with HL7 FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) profiles and resources in order to map enterprise data or source data to appropriate FHIR resources.
Teradata and Snowflake platform experience
Working knowledge of ERStudio or similar data modeling tool
Knowledge of ER/Objects/Dimensional/DataVault modeling concepts
